Episode 660

The Twisted Constellation’s Sanctuary.

Zeke had discovered a hidden, secret place buried deep within the abyss, a place even the Sun God Apollyon couldn’t find.

Only Zeke, who could summon the vanished stage into his own domain, could make the Twisted Constellation’s Sanctuary exist.

Slowly, Zeke stepped inside the sanctuary.

Unlike the bizarre landscape outside, the interior was a stark, white space devoid of any markings.

In that space, there was only one thing.

“A tree?”

A massive, pure white tree stretched out in the center of the space.

Zeke approached the tree slowly.

The tree was so enormous that its height and circumference were impossible to gauge.

Though he had never seen it before, Zeke felt he understood what this fossilized tree represented.

“The ancient beings that form the Twisted Constellation.”

Forgotten constellations that exist yet do not exist.

These constellations had gathered to form the shape of a colossal tree.

Zeke was momentarily entranced by its majestic presence.

At that moment, someone appeared before him.

“Zeke Draker.”

Hearing his name, Zeke turned his head.

A man in a robe, holding a staff, stood before him.

Zeke, as if expecting this, spoke.

“The Last Sage, Siemens Apollyon.”

Having absorbed the memories of Siemens Apollyon, sealed within a fragment of the Demon King’s soul, Zeke had once conversed with another timeline’s Siemens Apollyon.

He was the Last Sage, striving to prevent the world’s end, Ragnarok.

And as one of the vanished stage’s figures, he could enter Zeke’s unique domain.

Siemens Apollyon slowly removed his hood.

His face was the same as the Zeke had seen in past memories.

He spoke to Zeke.

“I thought you might make it here. The , the only being who can cross between stages.”

Zeke looked at the Last Sage and spoke.

“Was my coming here part of your plan to stop the end?”

The Last Sage shook his head.

“As a sage, I know many things. But there are things I cannot see, like your fate. You defy destiny, so it’s only natural I can’t see it.”

He paused, scrutinizing Zeke, then continued.

“The same goes for the Sun God who will lead Ragnarok.”

Even the supreme constellations couldn’t foresee Zeke’s future.

Thus, Zeke could move according to his own role on the stage Apollyon had set.

Zeke looked at the Last Sage and said,

“It was none other than Arthur Draker, Apollyon’s avatar, who led me here. If I’m an unpredictable entity, why guide me here?”

The Last Sage smirked wryly.

“When faced with an unfathomable entity they can’t comprehend, those who know everything react in two ways. First, they eliminate it, or second, they try to use it.”

Zeke furrowed his brow at the Last Sage’s words.

“Apollyon wants to use me?”

“If you can draw an indefinable power into your stage and make it act as you wish, what better move could there be? It might lead to a more splendid conclusion than originally intended.”

The Last Sage finished with a wry smile, tapping his staff on the ground.

Vroooom!

Suddenly, the white space around Zeke transformed.

“What is this?”

Beneath Zeke’s feet, a vast ocean and the central continent’s landscape appeared.

As the Last Sage tapped his staff again, the continent seemed to rush toward them, growing larger.

The continent’s features became clearer to Zeke’s eyes.

Rumble!

With a deafening roar, a massive lightning bolt streaked past Zeke and the Last Sage.

Hundreds of lightning strikes hit the ground, and a colossal storm swept in all directions.

The continent split, mountains crumbled, and lava surged like rivers.

The pressure increased, crushing everything on the surface, and the temperature swung wildly between extremes.

Zeke was speechless, witnessing the central continent turned into an uninhabitable wasteland.

The Last Sage spoke as he observed the scene.

“This is the aftermath of Ragnarok.”

Ragnarok, the end of the world.

Zeke was stunned by the desolation of the post-apocalyptic world.

It was as if he was looking at a more horrific and barren version of the demon realm he had seen.

After a moment of staring blankly, Zeke asked the Last Sage,

“Is this… the future Apollyon desires?”

The Last Sage shook his head.

“Destruction is the beginning of new creation. Apollyon will continue to destroy the world and create a new stage until he achieves the result he desires.”

“What does Apollyon desire? What does that even mean?”

The Last Sage paused before pointing with his staff.

Astonishingly, something began to form in the midst of the destroyed continent.

Sssshhh—

A radiant light gathered rapidly, forming a shape.

Zeke was taken aback by what he saw.

“A tree?”

A golden tree took shape, growing rapidly until it seemed to touch the sky.

Its branches spread wide, and lush leaves formed, appearing to envelop the entire continent.

Soon, golden light shimmered and scattered from the tree.

Vroooom—

The light from the tree spread across the shattered continent.

Amazingly, the ruined land began to heal.

The cracked earth mended, lava solidified into mountains, and the climate stabilized into a livable condition.

Zeke was bewildered by the sight.

The miracle wrought by the golden tree was identical to the power of purification he possessed.

Zeke turned to the Last Sage and asked,

“How does that tree have the power of purification…?”

The Last Sage spoke slowly.

“This is one of the ‘absolute laws’ created by the Primordial Light.”

Zeke, puzzled, asked,

“Absolute laws? What do you mean?”

“The Primordial Light was indeed slain by Apollyon, but not everything of his vanished.”

The Last Sage raised his staff, pointing to the sky.

There, amidst the starry night, something faintly existed.

A tightly woven golden net.

It separated the physical realm from the universe.

Zeke realized what the net was.

“Is that… the restraint of karma?”

The Last Sage nodded at Zeke’s words.

“It’s another absolute law, preventing beings from other dimensions from entering the physical realm. The restraint of karma and purification. Apollyon endlessly repeats the world’s destruction and creation to escape these two laws set by the Primordial Light.”

Zeke furrowed his brow at the Last Sage’s explanation.

“So Apollyon’s goal is to break the absolute laws created by the Primordial Light?”

The Last Sage nodded.

“Exactly. Apollyon wants to erase the stage of the physical realm created by the Primordial Light and establish his own stage. Only then can he become the true creator.”

Currently, the stage of the Sun God Apollyon was built upon the stage created by the Primordial Light, the original creator.

Even if Apollyon wanted to end that stage, the absolute laws would reset it to the beginning.

The Sun God, dreaming of complete creation, has been repeating destruction and creation to escape this cycle.

Zeke clenched his teeth at the Last Sage’s words.

“All this… just for that reason?”

“For Apollyon and the celestial constellations, it’s a significant issue. It means they’re still bound by the shadow of the Primordial Light, the creator.”

Even the celestial constellations, who control and dominate everything, couldn’t escape the absolute laws left by the now non-existent Primordial Light, and it was a major complex for them. They sought to break free from that shackle by exploiting the absolute laws.

They used beings from the physical realm to harvest karma, and when production dwindled, they destroyed it. After all, the absolute laws ensured that purification would restore the physical realm to its original state.

Then, the constellations would create civilizations in the physical realm again, harvesting karma to strengthen themselves.

In the process, the absolute laws created by the Primordial Light were gradually shaken, and the constellations intended to repeat this until they surpassed the creator’s power.

Thus, the Sun God Apollyon hoped for the seamless continuation of his stage of destruction and creation.

In that process, the demon realm and the Demon King were essential roles to continue the stage’s story.

In such a situation, the appearance of an anomalous being like Zeke disrupted the original narrative, causing the stage to deviate from its intended conclusion.

The Last Sage looked at Zeke and spoke.

“To the sun god Apollyon, you, Zeke Draker, hold significant importance in many ways.”

Zeke raised an eyebrow at the sage’s words, puzzled.

“What do you mean by that? Important? Not a nuisance?”

The Last Sage paused, as if gathering his thoughts, before continuing.

“The emergence of an anomaly like you could be seen as a sign that the absolute laws are about to be broken.”

The shattering of the absolute laws established by the primordial light.

That had been the purpose behind the sun god’s endless repetition of the stage for eons.

The Last Sage continued without missing a beat.

“Yet, at the same time, you must understand that you instill a great fear in him. For countless ages, no role on his stage has ever deviated from his expectations. But now, a being has appeared, breaking through the barriers and intruding upon the stage.”

Whether you were a harbinger of the laws’ destruction or an unforeseen variable, Apollyon’s attitude towards Zeke was inevitably ambivalent.

That’s why Apollyon’s avatar, Arthur Draker, chose not to kill the infant Zeke but instead gave him the name Draker and raised him as his own son.

Zeke turned to the Last Sage and asked, “Last Sage, you’ve witnessed Ragnarok in your timeline. From your perspective, what am I?”

He paused, locking eyes with the sage.

“Am I the one to end Apollyon’s stage, or the omen that will shatter the absolute laws set by the primordial light?”

The Last Sage remained silent at Zeke’s question.

After a long pause, he finally spoke, his gaze steady on Zeke.

“Zeke Draker, I cannot answer that question.”

Zeke furrowed his brow at the sage’s delayed response.

“Is it because you can’t read my fate?”

The Last Sage shook his head.

“No, it’s the opposite. There’s no need to read it. There’s only one conclusion that can prevent the end, Ragnarok.”

He looked at Zeke and said,

“Zeke Draker, you must become the Dark Lord and irreversibly destroy this world.”

The Last Sage’s voice was heavy as he continued.

“That is the only way to end this relentless tragedy of a stage.”
