Part 1: Conclusion
For a moment, I laughed silently.
Even if it was just a fleeting moment, I could clearly see it—the flicker of unease that crossed Seraph’s face.
“Wh-where did you hear that?”
“The Zero Code is a key for both angels and demons. For angels, it’s a protective device for the heavenly realm that must be safeguarded at all costs. For demons, it’s the key to accessing that realm, something they must obtain.”
”…Ha. I don’t know where or from whom you heard that… but it must have been from a demon, right? User Kim Su-hyun.”
I recited what I had heard from Astaroth. There were countless other things I had been told, but this alone was enough to discern the truth.
And now, I waited for a response.
”…”
”…”
But none came. No matter how long I waited, Seraph’s lips remained sealed.
In the heavy silence that settled, I bit my lip hard enough to draw blood.
Perhaps I had sensed it from the moment I saw Seraph’s reaction.
Seraph, who was always calm and composed, now seemed to struggle to hide her agitation, stammering unexpectedly. The fact that an answer that would normally have come immediately was delayed for over five minutes spoke volumes in its absence.
Despite this, I opened my mouth once more.
“Answer me.”
”…”
But the silence remained unchanged.
The truth was now as clear as day.
At the same time, the tip of the sword aimed at Seraph began to tremble slightly. It wasn’t a technique or a strategy; it was simply my hand shaking uncontrollably.
Angels always pride themselves on being a rational race. In this moment, I felt the weight of those words more than ever.
Something inside me had long since broken. Yet, I was still here, clinging to the hope I had chased for ten years.
Finally, with a sense of finality, I spoke.
“You lost, didn’t you?”
“L-lost?”
“You lost the war against the demons. That’s why you’re too scared to face them directly, so you summon humans as proxies.”
“Scared? You think we’re scared of mere demons? User Kim Su-hyun, that’s a grave misunderstanding. At least that much, I can assure you, is not true.”
“Then why?”
“Th-that… is something I cannot disclose. It’s information that cannot be revealed to users. But remember, the one who told you that was a demon. Do you not understand what they are?”
At last, Seraph responded, and I closed my eyes slowly. A wave of sorrow washed over me.
“Haha… That scares me even more.”
“U-user Kim Su-hyun?”
“At least that much? So the rest is true, then…”
”!”
The voice that had been pleading suddenly cut off. At the same time, the thread of hope I had clung to for ten years snapped.
With a voice heavy with despair, I spoke.
“This…”
But my breath caught in my throat, and for a moment, it felt as if the air had stopped moving.
Slowly, I lifted my gaze from the tip of the sword to meet Seraph’s eyes.
Her wings fluttered incessantly.
Seraph looked at me with a pained expression, then closed her eyes tightly, turning away.
Seeing that, I suddenly shouted, charging forward with all my might.
“You damn angels!”
The distance closed in an instant, and my sword gleamed as it aimed for Seraph’s heart. But suddenly, I felt myself being pushed back, watching as Seraph’s face receded. Some powerful force had repelled me.
When I felt the soft sensation of rolling on the ground, I sprang up like a leopard. I immediately pushed off the ground to charge again.
Or at least, I tried to.
“Huff… huff…”
Before I knew it, I was suspended in the air. An unknown force wrapped around me, restricting my every move. No matter how much I struggled, my body wouldn’t budge, and I could only glare at Seraph with eyes wide open. I tasted the warm blood in my mouth from biting my lip too hard.
After a moment, I was gently lowered to the ground, the force restraining me dissipating. Mechanically, I picked up my sword again.
Even with my meager abilities, I mustered all my strength, channeling my magic into the blade. The sword glowed with a brilliant blue aura, which I unleashed with all my might.
Still, Seraph didn’t move. But once again, something blocked the wave I had sent.
Without even a moment to identify what it was, I drew upon every ounce of strength I had left, letting out a fierce cry as I swung down with all my might.
“Ahhh! Aaaah!”
But the wave that cut through the air was once again stopped, dissipating into nothing. Should I take solace in the few sparks that flew?
“Hah… hah…”
The absurdity of my thoughts made me laugh bitterly.
The first emotion that came was an overwhelming surge of passion. Then came the anger, so intense it made my whole body tremble. And now, realizing there was nothing I could do…
It was an unbearable sense of emptiness.
Feeling the crushing weight of despair, I sank to my knees.
A strong dizziness swept over me. Even with my eyes closed, faces appeared in the darkness.
My brother. Han So-young. And everyone else.
As I watched each face pass by, my own twisted in anguish.
I thought I could finally meet them.
I thought I could finally repay my debts.
I thought we could finally return together.
‘What have I been doing all this time…’
The realization that it was impossible brought me to my knees once more.
Eventually, I muttered quietly.
“Fine… have it your way.”
“User…”
“Angels and demons. Whatever reasons you have, they don’t concern me. But why didn’t you tell me beforehand?”
After speaking, I lifted my head sharply to look at the altar. With a voice like a beast’s howl, I spoke again.
“Once a user dies, they can’t return! Why didn’t you tell me that?!”
But Seraph didn’t answer. She only looked down at me with sorrowful eyes. The gaze that met mine in the air began to blur. As my vision clouded, I threw the sword I was holding with all my might.
Clang! Clatter, clatter…
“Why! Why didn’t you tell me?! Why did you lie?!”
“We… we didn’t lie!”
“What? You demons, no, you’re worse than demons!”
I screamed like a madman. Even then, my anger didn’t subside, and I pounded the ground with my fists once, twice, three times.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
“Su-hyun!”
“What? You didn’t lie? Are you saying you didn’t know I wanted to save my brother and Han So-young and return with them?”
“I admit there was some misunderstanding. But if we hadn’t done it that way!”
“Shut up! Astaroth was right! How are you any different from demons?!”
Instinctively, I opened my left hand, revealing the Zero Code I had been clutching. The blue orb, slick with sweat, glowed with a serene ocean light.
I hurled it at Seraph with all my strength.
Thud!
The orb flew through the air, striking Seraph’s face. Her head snapped to the side, and the orb fell with a “clink,” rolling to a stop between us.
I hesitated for a moment. My breath was ragged, and I felt my jaw trembling. Slowly, Seraph turned her head to face me.
“Su-hyun.”
“You’re the same. You’re all the same.”
I saw the tremor in her eyes, but the anger boiling in my head made me ignore it completely.
“You and the demons used us. You put us in this ridiculous ‘user’ role and used us! Why should we be dragged into your damn war?! Answer me! Can’t answer? Then let someone else come out and answer! You damn bastards!”
My shout echoed through the dark summoning chamber. But still, there was no response. Only Seraph, sitting on the altar, remained motionless, absorbing my words.
It felt as if she was avoiding me, or perhaps just watching indifferently, and it made my head spin.
“I regret killing all the demons. If only one of them were left… the Zero Code…”
“User Kim Su-hyun! Even if it’s just words…!”
“What? Is it too much? What you did to us wasn’t too much, but this is?”
I cut off Seraph’s words as I pushed myself to my feet. For a moment, I desperately wanted to pick up the sword and charge again, but for some reason, I felt drained, and standing was all I could manage.
“At least don’t deceive us.”
By now, my voice was hoarse.
“What? You didn’t lie? Fine. But you didn’t tell me either, did you? You knew what I wanted, didn’t you? You knew, didn’t you?”
”…”
“I did everything you asked, didn’t I? Huh? But is this how you people usually operate? After using someone to the fullest, you just toss them aside? If it were me, I’d at least have the decency not to do this in the end!”
“Suhyeon!”
Seraph had been calling my name incessantly. When I lifted my head, inviting her to speak, she fell silent, her eyes filled with sorrow as she looked up at me. I met her gaze with a twisted smile. Of course, she had nothing to say.
Suddenly, a wave of exhaustion washed over me, threatening to knock me down. But I pushed through, suspecting even this was part of Seraph’s manipulation, and spoke with a trembling voice.
“Yeah, I guess you don’t care anymore. The demons are gone, and I’ve got the Zero Code. So my feelings don’t matter to you, right?”
Seraph shook her head, biting her lip as if she might burst into tears, but I knew it was just another act.
“Don’t make that face. I’m not falling for it anymore. Not that you need to pretend now, anyway.”
”…”
“You’re something else, you know that? I actually believed in you once, Seraph. When I lost everything, you were the only one I could rely on. Your judgment was always rational, guiding me in the right direction. I was grateful to you. Even though you were just a helper, I thought you genuinely cared about me…”
Even when Astaroth revealed everything, I chose to believe Seraph. I thought demons were untrustworthy, that it was just their last desperate act before death.
“But when I opened the lid, you were no different. You helped me just for that Zero Code or whatever!”
“User Kim Suhyeon, I won’t deny some of the facts. But it wasn’t just that.”
“That ‘it wasn’t just that’ again! Why couldn’t you say, even once, that it wasn’t true?”
A long sigh escaped Seraph’s lips. She clasped her hands in front of the altar and bowed her head, her hair falling to obscure part of her face.
A low voice emerged from the altar.
“If I had told you everything back then… I knew what decision you would make. You were tormented by guilt every single day…”
“Oh, really? Come on, Seraph. You weren’t thinking about me; you were thinking about your angels. You just wanted to use me to protect the Zero Code, didn’t you?”
“It wasn’t a plan! I just, I just—”
Suddenly, Seraph lifted her head, raising her voice for the first time.
“I didn’t want you to die, Suhyeon. I didn’t want to see you take your own life.”
She barely finished her sentence, and I responded with disbelief.
“What a convenient excuse. You did it for me. Sure. That’s the perfect excuse for a helper, isn’t it?”
”…”
Seraph’s face was pale, her wings drooping behind her. I forced a smile at her weary figure.
“Aren’t you ashamed of your own words? I’ve never met anyone as disgusting as you.”
Seraph said nothing, bowing her head again.
“Pathetic.”
”…”
After a brief silence, I began to walk forward slowly.
I stopped midway, looking down at the Zero Code, which emitted a gentle glow.
Bending down to reach for it, I felt a wave of despair wash over me. The days I endured to obtain this flashed by like a breeze.
‘What is this even for…?’
As time passed, the emotions swirling inside me grew more intense. I fiddled with the orb for a while, then looked up, sensing a gaze from the front.
Seraph was watching me with calm eyes. For a moment, I felt a surge of anger, wanting to end her, but I suppressed it. Instead, I asked a question I already knew the answer to.
“You can’t bring back my brother and Han So-young, can you?”
Seraph nodded slowly.
“Haha, so you’re not lying now.”
Unable to bear it any longer, I closed my eyes. Suddenly, I felt my sense of balance shift. I let myself go, resigned to whatever might happen.
How much time passed, I couldn’t tell.
When I came to, I saw the gray stone floor through my disheveled hair. And there, a blue orb, half-visible.
Staring at the orb, I let myself feel each emotion slipping away.
Crushing despair…
The emptiness of being powerless…
The betrayal of being used…
The despair of wanting to die…
And finally, the creeping acceptance…
After ten years of struggle, my life had ended in futility. I wanted to do something, anything. But there was nothing I could do. No tears came, no voice emerged.
After a while, I muttered to myself, without reason, without meaning.
“Heh… What omnipotent power, what infinite power… Can’t even grant a single wish…”
And then, in that moment.
”!”
The word ‘omnipotent’ sparked a thought.
It was a thought that came without warning.
Once a user is dead, they can’t return.
But what if I could nullify the fact of their death?
Is there a way to do that?
I felt a surge of determination in my eyes.
“Bring them back… Yes.”
Clinging to the faint hope, I slowly moved my arm to cover the Zero Code. Then I bent down and gripped the orb tightly.
“Yes. That’s it. I just need to go back.”
“What?”
“Seraph.”
I felt strength returning to my body. My eyes regained their focus. I reached out with my right hand, summoning a sword that scraped across the floor as it flew into my grasp. Using it as a staff, I managed to stand.
“I will use the Zero Code. Turn back time. To when I first arrived here.”
“User Kim Suhyeon?”
Seraph’s eyes widened in shock.
But I said nothing, sheathing the sword at my waist.
“What are you saying?”
I took a deep breath, clearing my mind. I clung to the one hope I had grasped in the face of death.
Finally, with a hoarse voice, I spoke.
“As the first successor of the Zero Code.”
“Su—”
“I request a reversal of time.”
I can’t think of anything. I just roll the small orb in my left hand, feeling numb.
“User Kim Suhyeon.”
Ten years. In that long time, I achieved what I had yearned and dreamed for. Yet, the sense of loss and the aching heart still tormented me.
“User Kim Suhyeon. May I ask again?”
A soft, beautiful voice reached my ears. Drawn by it, I slowly lifted my head. As I did, the gray brick floor came into view. When I finally took in the thirty-square-meter space, my gaze stopped.
The ‘Summoning Room’ that marked the beginning and end of everything. On the rectangular altar in the center, faintly glowing wings fluttered. I fixed my gaze on the ‘angel’ sitting there, feeling empty.
“Confirming User Kim Suhyeon’s request. Do you truly wish to turn back the time of the whole plane?”
“Yes.”
“We cannot comprehend this. None of us angels can understand you.”
“No, you’re wrong. I’m not asking for your understanding, Seraph.”
My voice sounded so cold to my ears. Seraph’s voice trembled slightly, unlike her usual self. Did my words shock her that much?
She showed a moment of hesitation but quickly regained her composure. In her usual calm voice, she began to reason with me.
“User Kim Suhyeon, you have completed all missions in the whole plane and are the first user to reach the top.”
“And?”
“And nothing. You have obtained the Zero Code you so desired. You have the ‘qualification.’ Within the bounds of that qualification, you can achieve anything you want.”
“Seraph. The discussion is over.”
Feeling it would never end, I sighed and placed my right hand on my waist. The familiar grip of the sword’s hilt felt reassuring.
“Enough of your sweet talk. Ten years of that was more than enough. I’m tired, Seraph. I won’t say more. No matter what you say to persuade me, I won’t reconsider using the Zero Code.”
I gripped the hilt tightly, channeling my power through the circuits. Sensing the energy rising from my body, Seraph fell silent for a moment. But only for a moment. Soon, her face showed pity as she looked at me. She hadn’t given up on persuading me yet.
“The ownership of the Zero Code belongs solely to user Kim Soo-hyun. We have no authority to interfere with it.”
”…”
“That’s why it’s even more regrettable… To use such a powerful artifact merely to turn back time is absurd.”
”…”
“Let me ask one last time. Does user Kim Soo-hyun truly wish to relive those ten painful years?”
Seraph’s voice had taken on a pleading tone. Suddenly, an inexplicable laughter bubbled up from within me. It was laughter without reason.
I laughed silently for a while.
---------------------------= Author’s Note ---------------------------=
The serialization began on December 12, 2012.
The first part concluded on November 15, 2013, with a total of 394 episodes, including announcements.
Haha. When I first started, I aimed for 3,000 favorites, and thanks to the overwhelming love from readers, we’ve come this far. I want to express my deepest gratitude to all the readers who have shown unwavering support. (Thank you, thank you again!)
I think I started writing novels back in middle school. I used to wander around Naver and Daum cafes, and one day, I discovered a site called Yoojoa. For someone like me, who loved reading as much as writing, it was a treasure trove. Later, it became Joara, and with the advent of Noblesse, there was even more to read. (Yes, I also read Noblesse with my mom’s ID when I was in high school. Haha.)
I first serialized “Memorize” on March 7, 2012. However, I had other commitments at the time, so I only managed about 20 episodes before shelving it.
Once I had more time, I serialized a work called “Modern Magician” on Noblesse, but it didn’t last long. The concept was promising, but it was too spontaneous and lacked detailed planning, so I quickly hit a wall.
The next work I serialized was a game novel in the AOS genre called “Apocalypse Chronicle.” It was a project I was confident in, drawing from the settings of two previous game novels I had written. However, it didn’t receive as much attention as “Modern Magician.” Upon reflection, I realized it was a story that only I found interesting, not one that catered to the general tastes of readers. That’s when I started considering what kind of stories readers would enjoy.
So, I returned to “Memorize.” At the time, I had the entire plot from start to finish planned out, and I rebuilt it by selecting the best elements from the previous two works.
When I began serialization, I resolved to continue for at least 50 episodes, come what may, and eventually see it through to the end.
If I recall correctly, by the 20th episode, I had about 400 favorites. Then, after receiving a boost and being featured on the best list, it surpassed a thousand, and by the 70th episode, the overwhelming love from readers… (__ )*
There was a lot of concern from those around me when I first started serializing. Could I really see it through to the end? It was a valid concern. The world-building was vast, and the settings were complex. Moreover, balancing it with school was a significant challenge. However, the constant interest from readers and my own enjoyment of writing helped me continue the serialization successfully. :)
Oops, I meant to keep this short, but it got a bit long.
There’s so much more I’d like to say, but I’ll stop here for now.
As previously announced, I’ll take a break on the 16th and 17th and start the side stories on the 18th.
The side stories will mostly be light-hearted, covering exploration, talent, and everyday life. And the most important thing! It will be a free serialization, not daily. (If there’s a day I can’t post, I’ll leave a comment to let you know.) :)
And although I haven’t mentioned it before, thank you to everyone who gave favorites, recommendations, comments, coupons, and love points (growth items, right?)!
(Please excuse the copy-paste! There are just so many!)
RedSnail 2013-11-14 07:35
ㅇㅅㅇ
→ Thank you for the love points. :) But RedSnail, I’ve noticed you often comment with ㅇㅅㅇ. I’m curious about its meaning. :)
HyunOh 2013-11-14 04:12
Hehehe, let the growth item shine! And become the light! Long live AiroYujin!
→ Thank you for the love points. :) And I really enjoyed reading Memorize literature. (I think you write better than me. ㄷㄷㄷㄷ.) AiroYujin? Yes, there will be a bed scene in the side story. I’m considering between Go Yeon-joo, Lim Han-na, and xxx (secret!). Or should I just write all three?!
Bullet 2013-11-15 01:00
I’ll add another question to this mountain of questions :D / Can you only make one wish with the Zero Code? I feel like the angels might be hiding something…
→ NO. You can make multiple wishes. However, as shown in the story, the Zero Code is not an all-powerful, limitless force. It has clear limitations. So, there are ‘degrees’ to what it can do.
dddfaaaf 2013-11-15 00:58
Seeing the number and content of questions, I feel sorry for the author, like watching reporters ask unnecessary questions during celebrity interviews. Now I understand why only a few people get to ask questions.
→ But I do like having lots of comments. ㅎㅎㅎㅎ. The hardest time was when there was no response. ㅜ.ㅠ
TheDaybreak 2013-11-15 00:05
I enjoyed reading it. ㅋ
→ I remember you because you leave the same comment every day. :) Thank you for enjoying the story!
MoonlightSculptor4 2013-11-15 00:04
tmc, you should read the text properly before asking questions. Most of them can be understood just by reading.
→ It’s okay, it’s okay! I’m fine~!
WaterLightPaste 2013-11-14 23:58
For those asking what the First Code is… I wonder if they really mean it as a question or if it’s just a lack of comprehension… I feel sorry for the author having to explain this.
→ Haha. It was a line meant to highlight Soo-hyun’s desperation. But given the existence of the Zero Code, it’s natural to be curious if there’s a First Code. :) Curiosity is a good thing.

I’ll post before 00:30 today. Haha. :)
→ Hey, from next time, try to post by midnight. Stop whining all the time. Okay. Sorry.
Silversteel_Archer 2013-11-14 23:43
Question: Can other items be used like Hwajeong? For example, can you feed the Dragon Class essence you removed earlier to Hwajeong, etc.?
→ Hwajeong would dislike that. It would feel beneath its dignity. The current Hwajeong is all about maintaining its status.
Silversteel_Archer 2013-11-14 23:41
Question: Has the achievement or title system disappeared? In the early part of the novel, people who pioneered cities received stat points, but hasn’t the protagonist achieved much greater feats? Like the magic city, killing demigods, reclaiming cities from demons, massacring secret classes, etc.
→ Achievements are a very stringent system. Even Soo-hyun, who lived for ten years, barely surpassed 20 achievements. Most of those were obtained after Atlanta. Achievements are only recognized for actions that have a significant impact on the flow of Hall Plain. If they occur intentionally, the likelihood of them being recognized as achievements increases. Of course, there are exceptions. There are some achievements that are more event-like, almost like rites of passage.
TMC 2013-11-14 22:53
→ As stated in episode 1, the Zero Code’s usage rights belong solely to Kim Soo-hyun. However, activation requires an angel.
→ This comment has a high potential for spoilers, so I’ll refrain from saying more. :)
me:ll 2013-11-14 22:47
♡
→ ♡
TMC 2013-11-14 22:41
→ No, that’s not possible. Early on, Kim Soo-hyun mentioned that wishes are useless except for saving lives. While the range is broad, there are significant balance restrictions.
→ Spoiler~. Spoiler~.
TMC 2013-11-14 22:39
→ It’s simple. Earth and Hall Plain are fundamentally different worlds. Things in Hall Plain have a one-way nature, not a two-way nature. How are they different? That will be revealed at the end. :)
→ No, you cannot return.
→ Haha. No, it was a line meant to highlight Soo-hyun’s desperation.
Could it be that the special privilege given to Seraph also included inheriting Suhyeon’s feelings from the first round?
→ You’ll understand better once you read the first side story. It reveals some foreshadowing about Seraph. Look forward to it next week. :)
→ Yes, they can only act in self-defense, not of their own volition. They’re helpers, after all. The latter part of your question is a spoiler.
TMC 2013-11-14 22:29
→ Suhyeon didn’t fight the demons alone; he had help from other users. He was considered among the ‘strong’ back then.
→ In terms of experience, he’s actually a bit beyond that level now.
→ Yes, it was loaded as is. His physical age is optimized according to his user information.
TMC 2013-11-14 22:22
→ The butterfly effect has already begun. Whether it changed or not, this subtitle holds deep meaning. Haha.
→ Ah, that’s a tricky one to answer. Some things are predetermined, while others, like branching paths, change based on Suhyeon’s choices. :)
IDontWantToJoin 2013-11-14 22:03
Here’s a question. Does a unicorn have the same skeletal structure as a horse? When you think of a unicorn, you imagine a horse with a horn, but this one dances, cuddles, and even perches on shoulders. If it looks like a foal, some things don’t quite add up. Is it a… pony?
→ Hahaha! I laughed a lot at the pony comment. It’s still just a juvenile. Think of it as about the size of an adult cat. As for the dance, it was more like an attempt at shuffling rather than a perfect performance. :) There are physical limitations, after all.
IDontWantToJoin 2013-11-14 22:00
I’m seriously wondering if the author’s real name is Ro~(--)mi. Even if the outside says Ro Yujin, maybe inside it’s actually… Ro(--)~mi.
→ No, it’s Ro Yujin. Definitely Ro Yujin!
IDontWantToJoin 2013-11-14 21:58
Aside from the subtle discomfort from the strange brotherly bond, it was quite nice. But no matter how I think about it, Suhyeon responding with …uh seems a bit off. There are so many other ways to respond like, “Yes, brother. Got it. Okay. Sure.” …uh… hmm…
→ Oh, come on. Isn’t it nice to see brothers getting along well? :)
IDontWantToJoin 2013-11-14 21:54
Oh… damn… I’ve read it all…
→ Well done!
FlowerOnTheGrave 2013-11-14 21:02
Thanks for the read.
→ Hope you enjoyed it!
Gori506. 2013-11-14 21:00
Aaaaaah
This is one of the works I’ll miss the most once it’s completed! Thank you for writing such a great story! ㅠㅠ I always enjoy reading it so much. Can’t you just not finish it?
→ What? Thank you. But what would I do if I don’t finish it? ㅜ.ㅠ Oh! Here’s an idea! Suhyeon took a breath. Then he lifted his right foot! He stepped forward again! He breathed again! The wind blew! It brushed his hair! It fluttered! Then settled again! How about that? Isn’t it great?! (Thud thud thud! @[email protected])
Note 2013-11-14 20:50
It must take a long time to reply to all these comments, haha.
→ I’m replying with a big smile right now. Haha. Oh, I want to play LoL.
Note 2013-11-14 20:49
I’m not sure what to say since you’re replying to all these comments. I’m really enjoying the story. Does Suhyeon currently have any clan members with the same importance as Yuhyeon or Han So-young? I remember there were only a few elixirs left, and I recall checking user information during the appearance of the Priest of Radiance.
→ From Suhyeon’s perspective, there’s no one as important as Yuhyeon or Han So-young. At least not ‘right now.’
Heavenly Maiden 2013-11-14 20:29
The protagonist always seems to hesitate~ Why not just say it clearly instead of delaying~?
→ There’s a reason for it. This part is a bit sensitive to discuss. Haha.
AlienMugged 2013-11-14 20:07
Isn’t that person not human?
→ The blonde is indeed a user from the southern continent!
AlienMugged 2013-11-14 20:06
I want information on the queen, Suhyeon’s enemy from the card. Southern continent. Blonde. Is she the leader of the Odin Clan or something?
→ The blonde queen is considered the top user of the southern continent. Haha.
FallenAngel 2013-11-14 19:26
Will there be more illustrations?
→ Ah, that’s a good question. The illustrator is a student and has other commitments, so both of us have been quite busy. I’m planning to discuss it again after the holidays. If it doesn’t work out, I’ll look for someone else. :)
Plasma 2013-11-14 19:11
Ro.Yu.Mi, haha.

LOVEAutumn 2013-11-14 18:06
Will we never see stats above 102?
Even the 101 user hasn’t appeared, it seems.
→ Hehehe. If anyone’s going to reach that, Suhyeon is the most likely candidate, right? :)
hohokoya1 2013-11-14 17:26
Question 3~~~ Has it been revealed that the protagonist killed the giant, the fire and water spirit master, the vagabond leader, and the top figure of the western continent during the war? I’m really curious. Please answer.
→ Yes. Not everything, but it will gradually be revealed. Along with that, the rise of the Mercenary Clan will begin. :)
hohokoya1 2013-11-14 17:25
Question 2 ~~~ You mentioned several times that the total number of episodes would be around 600. If the beginning is 400 episodes, won’t it end too abruptly? I think it should go to at least 1000 episodes. I’d like to hear your thoughts. I don’t mind if the updates are slow!!
→ My wish is to complete it in 600 episodes, but I also wonder if that’s feasible. 1000 episodes might be a bit much, but I’ll try to manage it well!

Question 1 ~~ Is the contract with Joara only for e-books? Or does it include print books as well? I’m waiting to buy the book. Haha.
→ I’m sorry. And to editor Kang xx, I’m sorry. My heart races every time you ask for the manuscript. ㅜ.ㅠ
MidnightBlessing 2013-11-14 16:58
→ 1) It hasn’t been revealed immediately! 2) I’ll include it in the side stories. :) 3) The free releases are scheduled to start on November 18th (Monday). 4) Haha. I’ll write them out one by one. 5) The protagonist has Hwa-jeong. The body was thoroughly incinerated. (At the time, all nearby presences were cut off.)
Franco 2013-11-14 16:46
Didn’t you recruit a priest? There’s been no mention of him, so I’m curious.
→ He has no presence, right? ㅜ.ㅠ Yes, that’s correct.
IPrin 2013-11-14 16:41
The five devastated cities are Dorothy, Beth, Halo in the west, the metropolis of Barbara, and Muel in the north, right? It doesn’t seem like the vagabonds have any reason to occupy Muel. Why did they take Muel, which doesn’t seem to have any strategic advantage, unlike in the past first round?
→ It was to draw attention. The plan was to first divert attention to Muel with the vagabonds, then swiftly attack two small cities in the west.
PotatoChip 2013-11-14 16:30
→ I see. ㅜ.ㅠ I’m glad I switched to Korean midway. Haha.
Car 2013-11-14 16:25
Personally, I don’t mind saving Sang-yong, but I absolutely cannot accept giving Vivian to him. Vivian belongs to Su-hyun!!!
→ Yes, yes! I understand. They’ll always be teacher and student! So, Shin Sang-yong will just have to marry alchemy! (Huh?)
Jermis 2013-11-14 16:17
Ro*mi?
→ ?
Yenika 2013-11-14 16:07
It’s like, “I’m not telling you on purpose, just to mess with you,” haha. I wonder why he won’t teach it.
→ Su-hyun must have his reasons, right? :)
Minitsyu 2013-11-14 15:47
This epic scale and amazing novel… This is exactly what I wanted, haha. It’s always fun to read. Even when I lose my phone, I make sure to turn on my computer before bed to read it. Love it!
→ Thank you, thank you! Would you like some candy too? (__ )*
Gamjatip 2013-11-14 15:44
Will the new users coming in later be different from the first batch? Like the 101 power user or Jin Su-hyun mentioned by the author?
Does part two start with the march on the Iron Mountain Range, or after it’s conquered? If it’s the latter, will it be in a side story?
You mentioned demons and hell creatures in part two. Will they only fight the Northern Continent, or will users from all continents join in? If it’s a spoiler, you don’t have to answer.
→ 1. It’ll proceed similarly, but some key things will change. 2. It starts just before the Iron Mountain Range conquest! 3. Haha, you’ll see much more than that. :)
Pishing 2013-11-14 15:43
Who’s the commander of the vagrants? Hyun is the spear… the vagrant Simon met had a scythe…!?
→ Yes! Yes! You got it! The commander is the vagrant with the scythe! He fled early in the battle!
Nanadan 2013-11-14 15:35
Hmm? I just paid for three months…
→ ?ㅇ?
MoveAside 2013-11-14 15:13
Won’t the protagonist reach the top 10? His achievements are no joke, and some have seen it firsthand… haha.
→ Haha. The Northern Continent is in despair right now. Don’t you think a hero needs to emerge to fill that void?
PaymentForYou 2013-11-14 15:13
Now that I think about it, Jin Su-hyun came a year later than Kim Su-hyun, so he probably won’t show up in the second round due to the unexpected influx of newcomers.
→ But Jin Su-hyun has to appear, right?
Pishing 2013-11-14 14:48
In part two, it seems like you’ll write about clan conflicts and demons… the scale will grow! The clan members will increase too… So here’s my question! You like to develop the foreshadowing and character traits you’ve set up, so part two might be quite long. Will you unfold it in side stories or the main story? I thought you planned for a short conclusion… will it be vague and drawn out…?
→ I’ll definitely resolve the important things. Don’t worry too much. :)
]Radier[ 2013-11-14 14:36
I saw earlier that you mentioned one needs to surpass a certain level of skill, fame, and experience to enter the top 10… You said Yu-hyun is qualified, so he might make it in the second year. Will Su-hyun be a new exception, or will a spot be reserved for him, or will someone else take it until he joins in part two?
→ The top 10 is a title that involves user information, fame, and various factors. Honestly, Su-hyun is more than worthy of the top 10, don’t you think? Haha.
Pineiro 2013-11-14 14:04
And now the next top 10 will be decided. Can you tell us who they are? Kim Su-hyun, Kim Yu-hyun, Go Yeon-ju, Yeon Hye-rim, and Seo Jin-woo seem likely, but I’m curious about the other five.
→ The 101 power user, Nam Da-eun, Seon-yul, xxx, xxx.
Pineiro 2013-11-14 14:02
I feel like the advantages of regression have been exhausted in the story. The first-person perspective feels limiting. While it might have been good for highlighting the regression aspect, now that the Mercenary Clan is a top-tier clan, it seems like a more omniscient perspective would be better for a broader view. The story feels simpler as it progresses, and the scale seems limited.
→ That’s why I skipped two years. No matter how interesting something is, it can get tiresome if repeated too often. :)
Gotobooki 2013-11-14 14:01
What’s the baby unicorn’s name? And its gender? Haha.
→ The name is Yu Mi. It’s female. :)
Pineiro 2013-11-14 13:57
Not just to Ahn Hyun, but everyone should know. If they ask how you know, say you heard it somewhere, read it in a book, or that Seraph told you. There’s no reason not to teach it… I believe the Sword Queen will join. The clan needs more close-combat users, and Kim Su-hyun can’t do it alone. It would be foolish to let her slip away after all this.
→ It’s not something that can be revealed so simply. Nam Da-eun has already dropped many hints.
NeoGGM 2013-11-14 13:50
A preemptive comment. Thank you for your hard work on part one. I’m looking forward to part two.
→ Thank you. :)
NeoGGM 2013-11-14 13:49
P.S. Ah… I paid, and now the author is taking a break. ㅠㅠ
→ Haha. I need a break too!
NeoGGM 2013-11-14 13:48
I’ve always been curious why the author’s nickname is Ro*mi. How did it become Yu? I’m curious. Haha.
→ Huh? Who’s that? I’ve never heard that name before. It’s a pretty name. Hahaha. Hahahahaha. Hahahahahahaha.
Debaran 2013-11-14 13:48
I always read with joy. Stay healthy, and I hope everything goes well with your work. Keep writing!
→ Thank you! Professor! I have so many assignments these days. Sob. ㅜ.ㅠ
Kaihon 2013-11-14 13:48
How about taking a month off and starting with 10 consecutive updates?!
→ Sa-save me. Can’t I just rest? ><
HiYo 2013-11-14 13:28
Just my personal opinion, but there are too many characters, and we get to see each of their thoughts. It can be frustrating because we know what everyone is thinking. It’s like watching a sports broadcast with our national team, but they keep showing other foreign players’ matches. It can be annoying. Of course, some might enjoy the game itself, but most viewers want to see our team. Conclusion: Please increase the protagonist’s screen time and reduce the side characters’.
→ Oh, I see. I’ll keep that in mind for part two! (But the current plan has the first 1-3 episodes from other characters’ perspectives. ㅜ.ㅠ)
Chalgaro 2013-11-14 13:05
Ah, I had so many questions, but now that you ask, I can’t remember any. ㅠㅠ
→ Come on! Ask here! You can even bite my arm! Or my thigh? (Just kidding!)
HeavenlyBloodGod 2013-11-14 13:04
Hahaha, as long as it’s not Ro*mi, will you reply? Then send me a photo! Give me your address! Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
→ Since * is the only thing, it’s invalid! Hahaha!
Zorney 2013-11-14 13:01
What’s Kkyu Kkyu’s name?
→ Yu Mi!
Book of Magic 2013-11-14 12:38
Hmm, thinking about how it would feel if you couldn’t return to Earth, I can somewhat empathize.
→ Because they wanted to go together so much. Haha.
Cheetos 2013-11-14 12:20
Why did you kill No Yu-mi!! ㅠㅠ
→ I’m, I’m sorry. (__)
WeepingWillow 2013-11-14 12:13
Can’t you just tell them the truth, that reviving with 1 million GP means being bound to the Hall Plain and unable to return to Earth? Why is that a secret?
→ Hmm. Many people are curious about this. I’ll consider explaining it in a side story or maybe in an afterword. :)
Rebellion of the Ancient Dragon 2013-11-14 11:52
Oh no, I came back to find a hiatus, Kkyu Kkyu!
→ Kkyu Kkyu! Kkyu Kkyu Kkyu Kkyu! Kkyu Kkyu Kkyu Kkyu Kkyu Kkyu Kkyu Kkyu!
Laxia 2013-11-14 11:35
Sob sob
→ Don’t cry. ㅜ.ㅠ
Sura 2013-11-14 11:11
Can’t you just say Seraph told you and that Sang-yong can’t be taken back?
→ Ah. Many people are curious about this. I’ll positively consider including it in a side story for explanation. :)
Hinea 2013-11-14 11:08
The Sword Queen seems inclined to join the Mercenary Clan, haha. Su-hyun, why are you so clueless when it comes to women? Haha. And congratulations on completing part one!
→ Su-hyun is perceptive, just in strange ways. (?) Thank you!
Lizad 2013-11-14 10:49
Two weeks is too long! Sob sob sob ㅠㅠㅠ
→ Then how about a bold two months! Deal?!
Passion 2013-11-14 10:49
Is it a parallel world when you regress, or do you just go back to the beginning without any changes?
→ If I answer based on the current plan, some users might feel shortchanged. I’m still working on this part, so it’s a bit of a dilemma.
ViaLatea 2013-11-14 10:32
When will Suhyun reach 101 stamina? Also, I love you, author!!!
→ Hehe. I’ve already planned when that will happen. Would you like an a-a-a-apple?!
WhiteBear 2013-11-14 10:14
When you return, everything resets…
The side story sounds fun.
→ Side story fun: Yes! I’m here! Did you call for me?! (Sorry. Oops! @[email protected])
Coffee? 2013-11-14 09:46
Thanks for the great read. You’ve worked hard.
→ Thank you for reading. I hope you’ll continue to support me. :)
Mr.child 2013-11-14 09:44
I’ve always enjoyed your work, but I’ve never received a comment back. I’m leaving one now in hopes of getting a reply. Keep up the great work, author!
→ Ah, I’m sorry. I pick replies randomly. Thank you for your support!
elekdl66 2013-11-14 09:44
Stop dragging it out.
→ Fine. I’ll try my best. ‘3’
GoldenAngel 2013-11-14 09:44
I’m hungry, give me food.
→ Uh, what kind of food do you like? I’m pretty good at making ramen. ><
dkapqk 2013-11-14 09:43
I really enjoyed the first part. You did an amazing job. Rest well, and see you in part two. Fighting!
→ Thank you. I’ll recharge and come back. But it’s exam season, so… ㅜ.ㅠ
hohokoya1 2013-11-14 09:37
Great job. Looking forward to part two. Haha.
→ Thank you for always leaving supportive comments! I’m both nervous and excited for part two. Hehe.
Giㅡ 2013-11-14 09:06
Haha, you’ve worked hard~ Looking forward to part two~
→ Yes, I’ll do my best!
Merliwi 2013-11-14 09:00
Great job on part one! You can come back after finals, I’ll re-read it several times… And I hope Shinsangyong survives. Even in a side story, it would be nice to see him happy.
→ Re-reading. Gosh. Shinsangyong might not appear soon. ㅜ.ㅠ By the way, how is Yurikenne doing these days?
RaindropSound 2013-11-14 08:42
Ah… I paid, but now there’s a break… hahaha
→ I’m so sorry, but I love you, it’s all a lie!
BowStrength 2013-11-14 08:23
Ah… Is Shinsangyong going to end up with Vivian because the protagonist won’t accept her advances? That can’t be right, those lovely curves… ㅜㅠ
→ A mysterious figure might appear in the side story. It’ll be interesting.
LunaPoet 2013-11-14 08:14
Current Suhyun can overcome a 101 strength user thanks to his reverse-utilization swordsmanship (Ihwajeomok). Against magician-type opponents, his swordsmanship expertise gives him an edge. Initially, he wanted to increase his agility to 101 because, from Suhyun’s perspective, who prefers fast-paced combat with techniques like Ihyeonghwanwi, it was hard to overcome opponents faster than him, right? (You said the difference between 100 and 101 is huge…)
If Suhyun goes all out with a do-or-die mindset, is he on a different level compared to other users? (Compared to the top 10 in the first round)
→ Suhyun’s greatest weapon is his ability to defy common sense with his strength. Normally, when swords clash, sparks should fly, but in Suhyun’s case, he just cuts right through. Plus, his hidden weapons and abundant abilities amplify his combat skills even more. Simply put, if he uses Hwajeong properly, he can take on all the top 10 at once and win.
Jeonggeun 2013-11-14 08:09
I suddenly thought, if Shinsangyong is resurrected, won’t the Shinsangyong on Earth come over? Surely not, right?
→ No way. Hahaha.
Flute 2013-11-14 08:01
Bien//Lastly… Many people don’t remember Royumi well… Why does Royumi (Royujin) always stir things up just when she’s about to be forgotten… It’s like she’s a secret tsundere… Hahaha… It feels like she’s enjoying it…
→ That’s not true. I’m someone who always wishes that name would disappear.
Flute 2013-11-14 07:59
And at the end, it’s mentioned that everyone dies and only one survives… I can’t imagine living on Earth with a sane mind after that… It’s not just PTSD, but the reality (forgetting while living) and the past (including the brother)…
